The third edition of the „Erlanger Interreligiösen Gespräche“ (EIG) focused on the fundamentals of interreligious discourse. Does contact with other religions make us more human – or rather wiser? What can interfaith discourse contribute to resolving religious and political tensions? What could a sensible way of dealing with sceptics look like? These and other questions were discussed in front of an audience of around 200, who followed the event via Zoom or the Livestream: BaFID Director Prof. Dr. Georges Tamer, Prof. Dr. Tarek Badawia (FAU), Dr. Niels Eggerz (BaFID) and Prof. Dr. Manfred Pirner (FAU). PD. Dr. Christian Lange (BaFID) moderated the panel, Dr. Adrian La Salvia, Head of Erlangen City Library, gave a welcome address and took questions in the Zoom chat.
