Playing Means Discovering, Experimenting, and Changing Perspectives – But What Does That Have to Do with Religion? More Than You Think!
Whether it's building blocks, dolls, or rule-based games—many cultures have deeper meanings behind them. Why do Jewish people spin the dreidel during Hanukkah? What role does the nativity play have in Christianity? And are there special games in Islam?
Through quizzes, exciting experiments, and lots of fun, we’ll dive into the world of faith and play. Come join us and play along!
Workshop with Nathanael Riemer, Denise Scheuerer, Ramy Abdin, and Jan Gehm, Chair of Oriental Philology and Islamic Studies / Bavarian Research Center for Interreligious Discourses (BaFID), Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) – max. 20 children, language German
